I bought this bookcase about one year ago. I decided that two would look good on my wall, so this year, I ordered a second one. I got it together (I'm a woman in my 70's and had no problem with either assembly - they provide all the tools, too.)I put the new bookcase next to the first and realized that the shelf height does not match. Yes, I put it together correctly both times. My husband put a screw through the center posts to make sure the tops matched, and, I actually like that the shelves are not at the same height on both. It gives it a bit of personality and looks like the shelves are adjustable and I did it on purpose. I love my bookcase!!!

i have this in my entryway to like, "imply a wall" if that makes sense. that wider, lower, "top" shelf makes the perfect catch-all. The next shelf down is a great height for my printer (though it would be nice if it was just a little bit deeper). My motorcycle helmet rests nicely on a shelf (and I have a big head). I have this set up right next to a bookshelf by the same company, and there's a tiny aesthetic mismatch, but for the most part looks great.shelf is sturdy enough that i'm not afraid to put fragile, temperamental things (like printers) on it, while strong enough that i'm not afraid to plop things on it with reckless abandon, the particle board is well capped, and the whole thing is light enough that it can be moved if needed.

Love this shelf unit! It was SO easy to set up. I live on my own & I put it together by myself in about 2hrs but likely could've done it in less time if I wasn't watching movies while working on it. It's extremely simple & straightforward, & at no point did I feel like I needed a second person until I put a few things on it & tried to move it - the thing is STURDY!Love the engineering of it, love the simplicity, & love the end result! Great quality piece for the price 👌

A very attractive look. It looks good turned either direction. It took quite a bit of time to put it together, but I did manage it by myself. The pieces were well marked. It seems sturdy. I am very pleased with it. I will consider other pieces from this company.

Very sturdy, but not super heavy, so moving it by myself is no problem. Not difficult to assemble. Very satisfied with this shelving unit. Well worth the money.

Appearance-wise, it looks as advertised. As with most furniture you have to assemble yourself nowadays, don't expect it to be like the solid wood furniture of the past. That said, unless you're hosting a fight or are friends with a few bulls, that shouldn't be an issue. On the bright side, it proves we are doing a small part in mitigating the climate crisis by letting old-growth forests be.Now to follow up on the headline. I might be repeating what others have already said, but just to be safe, here are some assembly tips:- The included manual is pretty bare-bones but IS serviceable. Incoming condescension /s: as with most things in life, applying a bit of common sense when in doubt can really help. Pattern recognition, etc. In all seriousness, there are spare parts included, namely thread plugs, so if some are missing as some other reviews have mentioned, it does seem like the manufacturer has addressed some of the issues.- Don't tighten any screws completely until all the ones at the same level are on. If you find that theedges don't line up as well as you would like, loosen the screws, hold the offending parts flush, then tighten.- Pay attention to which side is up/down, left and right. The pieces are labeled, and some are asymmetrical. I was careless and didn't take my own advice of applying common sense (ashamed hippo) and ended up with two feet plugs on the wrong end. If that happens to you, you need to break the vacuum in order to remove them. Find a good cutlery knife and shimmy it in the sides, making sure the knife goes past ~ 1.5 inches or so. Work your way around the sides, repeating if necessary until enough of it comes out that you can remove it by hand.- Speaking of the foot plugs, the height of the padding is adjustable. If you find the shelf wobbly, try playing around with them individually until the shelf is leveled.Hope this helps!
